About Under The Scope BC™
Connecting researchers across British Columbia

Saachi Dhaliwal
Founder
Hey everyone! I'm Saachi, a first-year Biological Sciences student at Simon Fraser University. Apart from nervously watching the TV hoping for a Messi goal, I love to learn more about innovations in Neurorehabilitative technology, including the Portable Neuromodulation Stimulator (PoNS) and participating in high-level debate at SFU! I furthered both these interests in my time as a shadowing student at a Neurorehabilitation clinic in Surrey, where I observed daily interactions between patients and clinicians. Like many other students, I started my university experience excited to get involved in the scientific community through research, and found myself at a dead end. This resulted in the idea for Under The Scope BC™, a platform that I hope champions the concept that science is not a spectator sport!

Asha Gill
Head of Outreach: University of British Columbia
My name is Asha Gill, and I'm an undergraduate science student at UBC! As someone who loves learning about science and its applications, being able to share that with others is an honour. Like many STEM students, the field can feel overwhelming at times, which is why I think it's so important to find opportunities for hands-on learning-to find your passions! When I'm not studying or working, you can find me reading or binge-watching Netflix!
